Ball spline uses balls installed in the outer cylinder of the spline shaft to perform smooth rolling and transmit torque together in finely ground roller grooves. By selecting a common touch point plan, it has a large touch viewpoint (40 °), which not only has high sensitivity but also greatly improves load capacity.
Suitable for environments with excessive oscillation impact load effects, high positioning accuracy requirements, and high-speed motion functions, it can also play a useful role in such environments. When using linear ball bushings together, due to the same shaft diameter, the additional load on the ball spline is more than ten times that of the linear bushing, which can make the planning very precise. Even under cantilever load and torque, it can be safely used and has high durability.
Ball spline structure: Ball splines can be divided into two types: flange type SLF and non flange type SLT. Due to the touch mode of the large and thin steel balls with shaft diameter, they can be divided into 2 rows (180 °) (SLF/SLT6~20 °) and 4 rows (70 °) (SLF/SLT25~50 °). In addition, they can also be used for hollow shaft selection.
The advantage of ball spline is its large load capacity. The rolling groove of the ball is finely ground and formed, using a Gothic 40 ° angle touch. Due to the large touch viewpoint, there is a significant load capacity in both radial and torque directions. Zero clearance in the direction of rotation is achieved by selecting a ball column with a 40 ° touch angle relative to 2-4 rows, combining the spline shaft with the spline outer cylinder, and adjusting the preload method to make the clearance in the direction of rotation zero.
