Preparation before operation
Familiarity with equipment and operating procedures: Before adjusting the preload force, it is necessary to fully understand the structure, working principle, and relevant operating procedures of the ball spline. Clarify the adjustment method, steps, and requirements for pre tightening force to avoid equipment damage or personnel injury caused by improper operation.
Choose the appropriate tool: Based on the specifications of the ball spline and the method of adjusting the preload, select the appropriate tool, such as a torque wrench, specialized fixture, etc. Ensure the accuracy and reliability of the tool, avoid affecting the adjustment effect of the preload force due to inappropriate or inaccurate tools, and even cause safety accidents.
Ensure a safe working environment: Clean the work area, keep the site clean, free of debris, oil stains, and accumulated water. Prevent safety accidents caused by slips, trips, or tool drops during operation. At the same time, it is necessary to ensure good ventilation in the working environment and avoid operating in small, enclosed spaces to prevent oxygen deficiency or accumulation of harmful gases.
Precautions during operation
Preventing loosening and popping of components: When adjusting the preload force, it may be necessary to disassemble or loosen some components such as nuts, bolts, end caps, etc. During the operation, it is important to ensure that these components do not accidentally loosen or pop out, in order to prevent personal injury or equipment damage. Appropriate tools such as wrenches, pliers, etc. can be used to secure components, and disassembly and installation can be carried out in the correct order.
Avoid excessive force: When adjusting the preload, strictly follow the specified torque value or adjustment method to avoid excessive force. Excessive pre tightening force may lead to excessive wear, deformation, and even damage of the ball spline, while also increasing the operating resistance and energy consumption of the equipment, and even causing safety accidents. If using a torque wrench, ensure that the torque setting of the wrench is accurate and apply force evenly during operation.
Pay attention to personal protection: Operators should wear necessary personal protective equipment, such as safety helmets, goggles, gloves, etc. Goggles can prevent debris, splashes, and other objects that may be generated during operation from entering the eyes; Gloves can protect hands from scratches, burns, and other injuries.
Inspection after operation
Check the installation of components: After the pre tightening force adjustment is completed, carefully inspect the installation of the ball spline and related components to ensure that all components are correctly installed in place, and that the nuts, bolts, and other fastening components are tightened without looseness. At the same time, it is necessary to check the flexibility of the operation of the ball spline, manually rotate or move the ball spline, and observe whether there is any jamming, abnormal resistance, or noise.
Trial operation and monitoring: Before the equipment is officially put into operation, a trial operation should be conducted and the working status of the ball spline should be monitored. It is possible to check whether the vibration, temperature, noise and other parameters of the ball spline are normal through observation, measurement, detection and other means. If any abnormal situation is found, the machine should be stopped immediately for inspection, and the fault should be eliminated before restarting.
Record and label: Detailed records of the adjustment process and results of the preload force, including adjustment time, adjustment method, adjusted preload force value, equipment operating status, and other information. At the same time, clear markings can be set up on the equipment to indicate the adjustment status of the pre tension force and the next inspection time, for easy maintenance and management in the future.
