1. Installation requirements for high-precision ball spline
Installation environment: The cleanliness requirement is extremely high. High precision ball splines are very sensitive to small particles, so the installation environment should be as dust-free as possible. Ideally, the air cleanliness level in the installation area should not be lower than ISO level 8. Air purification equipment such as high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filters can be installed at the installation site to reduce the interference of dust and impurities. -Temperature and humidity need to be controlled within a stable range. It is generally recommended to control the temperature at 20 ℃± 2 ℃ and the relative humidity at 40% -60%. Because changes in temperature and humidity may cause thermal expansion and contraction of the spline shaft and spline sleeve, thereby affecting installation accuracy.
Installation tools: High precision specialized installation tools must be used. For example, using a high-precision press machine for spline pressing, avoiding the use of tools that may cause impact, such as hammers. During the installation process, the pressure accuracy of the press should be controlled within a small range, such as ± 50N, to ensure that the spline shaft and spline sleeve can be smoothly and accurately installed in place. -For some situations that require precise adjustment of position, precision measuring tools such as optical centering instruments and micrometers are also needed to assist in installation. These tools can accurately measure parameters such as concentricity and parallelism between the spline shaft and spline sleeve, ensuring that the installation accuracy meets the requirements.
Installation accuracy control: Concentricity is one of the key indicators for high-precision ball spline installation. During the installation process, it is necessary to ensure that the concentricity error of the spline shaft and spline sleeve is controlled within a very small range, generally not exceeding 0.005mm. This can be achieved by measuring and adjusting in multiple directions using a dial gauge. -Parallelism is also an important indicator of installation accuracy. For ball splines with linear motion, the parallelism error between the spline shaft and the installation reference surface should be controlled within 0.01mm/m. By precise adjustment and the use of high-precision measuring tools, it can be ensured that the installed ball spline meets the parallelism requirements.
2. Maintenance requirements for high-precision ball spline
Cleaning and maintenance: The cleaning frequency is higher than that of ordinary ball splines. Due to the high sensitivity of high-precision ball splines to impurities, it is recommended to clean them regularly (such as once a week). You can use a lint free cloth dipped in a specialized cleaning agent for wiping. The cleaning agent should have good volatility to avoid residue. -During the cleaning process, special attention should be paid to cleaning the internal structure of the ball spline, such as the area around the ball and the cage. Small cleaning tools such as soft brushes or compressed air spray guns can be used to remove internal dust and impurities under appropriate pressure (generally not exceeding 0.3 MPa).
Lubrication management: The selection of lubrication methods and lubricants is more stringent. For high-precision ball splines, it is usually recommended to use high-quality synthetic lubricants because they have better stability and wear resistance. The lubrication cycle also needs to be accurately determined based on actual usage, generally calculated according to working time or mileage, such as lubrication every 1000 hours of operation or 100km of movement. -During the lubrication process, it is important to pay attention to the amount of lubricant used. Excessive lubricant may cause leaks, pollute the surrounding environment, and affect the normal operation of equipment; However, insufficient lubricant cannot provide good lubrication effect. The amount of lubricant can be controlled through precise lubrication equipment, such as micro lubrication devices, to ensure that each ball receives an appropriate amount of lubrication.
Accuracy check and adjustment: Regular accuracy checks are key to maintaining high-precision ball splines. The inspection cycle should be determined based on the importance and frequency of use of the equipment, and it is generally recommended to conduct a comprehensive accuracy inspection every 3-6 months. The inspection includes straightness, cylindricity, runout accuracy, repeatability accuracy, etc. -When a decrease in accuracy is detected, it is necessary to make timely adjustments. The adjustment process requires the use of high-precision adjustment tools and equipment, such as precision grinders, grinding tools, etc. For some minor accuracy deviations, they can be repaired through processes such as grinding or scraping; For larger precision issues, it may be necessary to replace some components such as key shafts or spline sleeves to restore their high precision performance.
