What are the common faults of ball spline

Ball spline is a linear motion system characterized by precision grinding of the spline shaft, allowing the rolling resistance spline bushing to transmit torque during linear motion. The spindle structure is compact, capable of transmitting under electrical loads, and has a long service life. What are the common faults of circular rolling resistance splines? The following series will introduce you one by one:
1. The inner raceway of the ball nut or screw raceway is damaged
Solution: Clean and observe if the threaded raceway is damaged. If the detachable nut is not damaged, first use the hollow sleeve provided by the supplier (if there is no hollow sleeve with an outer diameter slightly smaller than the small diameter of the screw and an inner diameter slightly larger than the outer diameter of the shaft end), then slowly unscrew the nut and check whether there is damage on both ends of the nut ball ring. If not, remove the roller (warning: it is not recommended to try without experience) and thoroughly inspect the inner raceway of the nut for any damage.
2. Poor lubrication or impurities inside the nut
Solution: Loosen and unscrew the dust sealing rings at both ends of the nut, inject lubricating oil with a viscosity lower than ISO 32 into the nut oil hole (the lower the viscosity, the better), clean the nut, walk back and forth several times within the effective stroke, then inject lubricating oil or grease with a viscosity between ISO 32 and 68 years old, and walk a few times.
Three. Poor installation
Solution: Retest and reinstall the parallelism between the ball spline and the guide rail, install the end bearings of the screw and the concentricity of the bearings at both ends, and use a straightening machine to straighten the screw.
Small particles and dust often adhere to the circular rolling resistance spline, affecting its performance.
