priced higher than others? Even though the parameters and models are the same, they are all rubber tensile machines with the same purpose, why are the prices different? The reason is that the core configuration is different, and different transmission costs are used in the tensile testing machine. The use of ball screws in rubber tensile testing machines is more advanced than trapezoidal screws. What is the difference between trapezoidal screw and ball screw?
There are five main differences between ball screw and trapezoidal screw in rubber tensile machine:
1. Transmission efficiency:
Ball screws have high efficiency due to the rolling motion of many balls between the screw shaft and the screw nut of the ball screw pair. If driving the same large load, using ball screws can use smaller driving power, such as a lower power tensile testing machine, which can reduce costs and energy consumption.
2. Self locking:
The self-locking property is generally inversely proportional to the transmission efficiency. The higher the transmission efficiency, the smaller the self-locking property. Therefore, ball screws have almost no self-locking property, while trapezoidal screws have a certain degree of self-locking property.
3. Transmission speed:
Ball screws have rolling friction, while trapezoidal screws have sliding friction. During operation, the temperature rise of the former is much lower than that of the latter, so they can undertake high-speed transmission tasks.
4. Service life:
The surface damage caused by rolling friction is much smaller than that caused by sliding friction, so when cleaning, lubrication, and other conditions are met, the maintenance life of ball screws is much longer than that of trapezoidal screws.
5. Economy:
From the past and current situation, ball screws are still more expensive than trapezoidal screws due to their more complex structure. However, with the increase of automation equipment and production volume, the price difference is becoming smaller and smaller. Ball screws rely on rolling friction, which is fast and accurate, but not suitable for places with heavy loads! Spiral screw, also known as trapezoidal screw, has sliding friction, low efficiency and accuracy, but good rigidity, and is used for heavy loads. The meshing clearance of the ball screw transmission pair in the rubber tensile machine can be adjusted arbitrarily to achieve ideal fitting accuracy, which is particularly important for reducing directional errors. However, it is difficult to adjust the fit clearance of ordinary threads
